Care
Video visits
The same prescriber and the same schedule, from home.
Arc is licensed in Florida, so video visits are for patients who are in Florida at the time of the visit. If you are traveling out of state, we reschedule the visit for when you are back.
Which visits can be by video
Follow-up visits are often by video. A first evaluation can be by video or in the office, whichever you prefer. Your prescriber may ask for an in-person visit if it will help.
Prescribing and video
Our policy on controlled medication is on the prescribing policy page. State law and federal law decide when it can be prescribed after a video visit, and the rules change.
Before the visit
What you need at home
A private place
Somewhere you can talk freely for the length of the visit.
A device with a camera and a microphone
A phone, tablet or laptop with a steady connection. We send a link and a phone number to use as a back-up.
To be in Florida
We are licensed in Florida. Tell us if you will be elsewhere, and we move the visit.
Plainly
What this is not
Not a crisis line
For a crisis, call or text 988. In an emergency, call 911.
Not a second-tier visit
The visit is the same length, with the same prescriber, as one in the office.
Not a way around the policy
Nothing is prescribed before an evaluation, by video or in person.
Questions
Questions about video visits
What if the connection drops?
Your prescriber calls you at the phone number you gave, and the visit carries on by phone if the video does not come back.
Does a video visit cost the same?
The fee is set by the length of the visit, and it is the same in the office and by video. We are licensed in Florida, so video visits are for patients in Florida. See the fees page.
Can I do a video visit from my car?
We prefer a private, still place. If a car is the only private place you have, tell your prescriber and we will plan around it.
Want a video visit?
Tell us when you write, and we set it up.
